The TBR Tag

Hiiiii everyone!! I got a couple requests on my last post for the TBR tag, so here it is! I saw this tag over on Stories and Spoons so check that out too. Hope you enjoy xo

How do you keep track of your TBR?

I use Goodreads for my long-term TBR, but my to-read shelf on Goodreads is pretty cluttered with a LOT of books I'm not interested in and went click-happy with before. For my short-term TBR I use the sticky notes feature on my Google Chrome background extension. I also have a list in my notebook with my physical TBR.

Is your TBR mostly print or ebooks?

Definitely print. While my TBR is mostly physical books, I often get sidetracked and read a book online that I really want to read. I don't have a kindle or anything like that, but I do use Z-Library online.

How do you decide which book from your TBR to read next?

I'm definitely a mood reader so I read what I feel like reading. But, if I'm in a series then I commit and read the next book right away. Also, if I'm reading with a friend then I prioritise that book first.

A book that's been on your TBR the longest

The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak. I've had it for a year now! I do really want to read it but it keeps getting pushed aside for other books. I have to admit, the ugly cover is a bit off-putting as well.

A book you recently added to your TBR

The last book I added to my Goodreads TBR is The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood. The latest book on my physical TBR is Kingdom of the Cured by Kerri Maniscalco.

A book you added to your TBR strictly because of its beautiful cover

The Octunnumi Fosbit File Prologue by Trevor Alan Foris. I saw an unboxing on booktok and I was instantly smitten! 🥰

A book on your TBR you never plan on reading

Jane Eyre is on my TBR and I want to read it solely for the purpose of being able to say that I've read Jane Eyre. I just can't see myself reading it soon, because I'll have to force myself through it. 😩

An unpublished book on your TBR you're excited for

The Final Gambit by Jennifer Lynn Barnes as well as book 3 (untitled) of Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco are being released in 2022! I'm so excited for both of them, because the two trilogies will finally be finished! Another one I'm excited for is A Shadow in the Ember by Jennifer L. Armentrout.

A book on your TBR everyone has read but you

Shadow and Bone (and the rest of the Grishaverse) by Leigh Bardugo! I'm going to read it soon I promise!! In the coming month for sure! I'm just scared to commit to a 7 book series!

A book on your TBR that everyone recommends to you

A lot of people have recommended the Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard but I'm just not interested.

A book on your TBR you're dying to read

I'm absolutely DYING to read Gods & Monsters by Shelby Mahurin. It was just released a while ago, but I'm waiting for a physical copy. I can't wait to finally finish the trilogy!! Another book I am absolutely salivating over is These Hollow Vows by Lexi Ryan. I'm really looking forward to it!

How many books are on your TBR shelf?

Ahaha...hahah....ha... YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS?!?! My Goodreads TBR shelf is not that accurate since I pretty much add anything that sounds remotely interesting lol. But you asked for the number so here it is... 860. 🙈

That's it for the TBR book tag! I actually really enjoyed doing this book tag, so thanks to those who requested it. Leave a comment down below telling me how your TBR is like! I'm not tagging anyone, but if you'd like to do the TBR tag, consider yourself tagged! 😉 Bye for now!
